Pekka

A Personal Story

BCG works in partnership with leading Finnish companies. We do our utmost to achieve true and sustained impact by collaborating across all levels of their organizations, from top to bottom. We want to build long and trusting relationships that help companies and individuals succeed.

I have personally been inspired by the ambition to be part of a team to lead all through my career. As a consultant I worked side-by-side with my middle manager counterparts solving the issues at hand and developing practical solutions. As a project leader I teamed up with the client project champion, and both of our teams, to drive the client organization forward. Now as a partner, I feel privileged to be a trusted discussion partner for the top management of our clients.

Background

Pekka holds an MS in industrial management from the Helsinki University of Technology and an MBA from INSEAD. Pekka joined BCG’s Stockholm office in 1996 and moved to Helsinki in 1997. Pekka also practices his leadership skills at home, being a father of three (very active) boys.

Knut

A Personal Story

Working at BCG is like enrolling at one of the world's best business schools. Background

Knut holds an MS from the Norwegian School of Economics and a PhD in strategy from Copenhagen Business School. He has been undertaking research in strategy at IMD, Stanford, and the Norwegian School of Management BI. Knut has also been an executive director at the Research Council of Norway.

Working on the most pressing business issues jointly with top management from global blue-chip companies, and creating significant impact, is just as breathtaking as it sounds.

Working for BCG means personal development and reward in all dimensions. Background

Per holds a degree from the Stockholm School of Economics, and an MBA from HBS. He joined BCG in 1990, and has worked in London, Munich, and Stockholm. He is the head of BCG in Sweden.

BCG has been a great learning experience from the first day up to today. The responsibility given to me has always increased just when I was feeling 100 percent effective with my current role.

A Personal Story

We have been winning at BCG, and this has also been a great enabler for personal growth. Since I joined BCG in early 2001, our Helsinki office has grown significantly which has, on a continuous basis, opened up opportunities for us all, fast. The career track at BCG is open and honest. A promotion and increased responsibility is always waiting for you just when you start feeling 100 percent effective with your current role. BCG has given a lot to me personally. The skills I have acquired here cover all aspects of business and not only support my current work, but will also at some point be a great stepping stone to challenging positions outside of BCG. I believe the platform built here is in many ways unique.

Background

Teemu holds an MS in electrical engineering from the Helsinki University of Technology. Teemu joined BCG Helsinki in 2001 after working for a few years at Fortum.
