Creativity and strategic insight every day—that is my reason for enjoying, and staying at, BCG.
Christina
Principal, Stockholm
A Personal Story

After almost six years with BCG my mind is still constantly challenged—in internal case team meetings, as well as in client discussions. However, being a vital part of designing new strategic visions and plans for some of the leading firms is a challenge I happily accept.

Although we leverage our vast industry and functional expertise, BCG believes in the uniqueness of each client and strives to deliver a tailor-made approach and solution. This requires creativity and strategic insight in our everyday client work, and is my reason for enjoying, and staying at, BCG.

Developing our people is at the core of our long term success.
Krister
Principal, Oslo
A Personal Story
To me, BCG is all about having major impact and creating value in an inspiring and dynamic environment. Given BCG’s expertise, practice areas, and global reach, we’re brought in by large organizations to assist on the issues that top the agenda of senior management. To succeed with this, we need to bring the best people to the table. From day one at BCG, there is a strong focus and commitment to formal training to prepare you for the rapidly increasing responsibilities you'll get at BCG. However, our tailored approach to solving our clients' challenges makes it impossible to learn everything you need from training, and our firm's high partner-to-consultant ratio creates a critical and real opportunity for continuous on-the-job training and coaching. Our senior consultants’ willingness to spend time on developing our people is really the core of our training curriculum—and at the heart of BCG's long term success.
Background
Krister holds an MS in business and administration from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration, a major in finance from HEC, France, and an MBA from INSEAD.
Philip
With BCG I discover the world's diversity.
Philip
Principal, Copenhagen
A Personal Story
From the start of my career I wanted to experience all the diversity that a job in a global firm offers. When I filled in my project preferences in my first week at BCG, I ticked the box for international assignments. Now I have worked in over ten different countries and have taken the opportunity to change home office within BCG. The differences of running projects in different countries can be small, like food and attire, or much more challenging, like different languages, management styles, and business habits. To be confronted with this is a very enriching experience. Although I could remove the tick mark for international projects any moment, I will keep it for now.
Background
Philip studied economics in Switzerland and Singapore. He joined BCG Zurich in 2000 and worked in the Copenhagen office from 2006-2009, returning back to Zurich office in 2010.
Tatu
BCG is a truly global company—it has allowed me to experience the nuances of difference between offices to really broaden my outlook.
Tatu
Principal, Helsinki
A Personal Story
BCG has provided me with international opportunities since I started in the company. So far I have traveled and worked in over ten countries and collaborated with colleagues and clients from all over the world. After three years at BCG I got the opportunity to participate in BCG's global Ambassador program and moved to our San Francisco office for a year. Based on my experiences I highly recommend everybody to take advantage of all the various mobility programs that BCG offers. It is very interesting to see the small nuances that are different between the BCG offices, but above all to realize how strong the BCG culture is and how easy it is to work abroad at BCG. The international exposure that BCG provides has been and continues to be a great learning experience, and has really broadened my perspectives.
Background
Tatu holds an MS in industrial engineering and management from the Helsinki University of Technology, Finland. Tatu has worked mainly with technology, industrial goods, and consumer goods clients. He is a core member of the Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice area and a member of the Operations practice area.
