Studying philosophy is excellent for those who have no clue what to do with their lives and business administration is excellent for those who have trouble deciding what to do with their careers. I tried to combine both. It is no surprise that consulting proved to be a great next step.
After looking at several consulting firms, BCG clearly came out on top. As much as I have tried to build solid arguments for that decision, I must admit that it basically felt right for me. And I have not been disappointed. BCG really proves to be a very stimulating and inspiring environment, mostly because I get to work with an exceptional group of enthusiastic and talented people on challenges that are at the forefront of the minds of business leaders.
I particularly value the fact that personal growth really is at the heart of BCG: combining relentless on-the-job feedback with extensive training and career coaching. My most unique learning experience? Learning about leadership by doing a masterclass with a world-renowned orchestra conductor!
