A Personal Story
Four hours into my first day as a summer intern at BCG, I found myself in a case kick-off with senior management from one of Sweden’s largest stock-listed companies. BCG, a long term partner of the client, was engaged to improve the company’s customer segmentation and pricing model. From that day I was hooked. So what was so special? I guess it’s the combination BCG offers—working with brilliant people, always striving to answer fundamental questions for our clients, and constantly being challenged with new problems. For me it was an easy choice to later join full-time.
Background
Niklas holds an MS in business administration from the Stockholm School of Economy and an MS in industrial engineering and management from The Royal Institute of Technology.  As an exchange student, he attended the MBA program at Carlson School of Economics, University of Minnesota, and the Computer Department of The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). Prior to joining BCG, Niklas also did an internship at an investment bank.

A Personal Story
I attended a summer internship at BCG in 2007 after previously finishing two internships in technology and engineering-related companies. The impression I got at BCG surpassed any expectations I had whatsoever. The combination of professionalism in every aspect of the job and the great atmosphere in the office made the choice easy after I was offered a position with the Oslo office. Being included in the social events throughout the year when finishing my degree has also been a great way of staying in contact with all the employees.

My first weeks at BCG have been very educational, being introduced to the vast amount of tools and experts at my disposal in the BCG system. I also enjoy being able to decide on preferences for cases to be staffed on and other roles and responsibility areas. My lifelong dedication to soccer has finally paid off as I am now part of the duo in charge of BCG Oslo’s soccer team.

A Personal Story

During my study of Astronomy, I decided my ambitions did not lie in pursuing a scientific career. Luckily, three months of free time in my curriculum gave me the chance to do an internship in something completely different.

BCG gave me the opportunity to look into a completely different world, the business world, and solve problems with more social impact. During my internship, I was a full member of the team and my role was the same as I have experienced since starting as an Associate. I had my own module, was taken to the client, enrolled in BCG training and even joined my team for client visits in Belgium and Poland!

When my internship ended, I left BCG for six months to finish my thesis. But after completing it, and taking a well deserved holiday, I had no doubts about where to start my search for the stars in business!

Floor holds a Master’s degree in Astronomy and Science Based Business. He joined BCG for an internship in November 2006 and came back to BCG as an Associate in September 2007.
