I recently ran a strategic due diligence for a Nordic private equity firm on a division in a major pharmaceutical company. We developed an original view on the growth and stability of the industry. This view was based on a large and unique base of primary research, including expert interviews and customer surveys across countries. We also identified a set of unique growth opportunities which the other potential acquirers had not seen.
Our view enabled the client to get the best financing package and win the auction process in competition with all the major PE firms. It also convinced management that our client was the most credible owner and they invited us to work with them to grow and improve the company.
